Slarina is an old, almost forgotten red grape from Piemonte, rescued from near-extinction by a handful of growers in the Monferrato hills.

Nose: Balsamic, cherry and fresh twigs.

Palate: Lovely red fruit, with cherry and raspberry up front and soft fennel coming through.

The red fruit has this light dryness running through it, with good acidity and great balance, ending in a long finish.

A beautiful, lighter style of Piemonte red.
